Can you check if a code has been redeemed or not, without actually redeeming it?

I want to give my cousin a xbox live gold code, but i really have no idea if i used it or not. You might be asking how i forgot. I really don't know. I want to check if it is used or not before giving them the code. How do i do this?

Yes you can, check it out at redeem.microsoft.com and there will be a page showing what it is if it is still valid and will ask you to confirm if you want to redeem it. At that point just hit no.

Just go to redeem code and input the code. It will tell you what the code is for, but you don't have to actually use the code.

If you go onto the xbox app on the pc there will be a redeem code section where you can enter the code and it will show you if it is valid by showing the game and if it is not valid it will tell you the code has already been redeemed. You can check
the code this way without redeeming it as it will show you the game and ask for final confirmation before it redeems to your account. You can also use the xbox app on your phone to check as well. I do this all the time. Just go to the xbox app click on Microsoft
store and then click on redeem a code and it will ask you to enter the code.

Can you try and redeem the code again just incase it didn't actually redeem. additionally if you have any other profiles loaded on your console can you please also check those to make sure it has not by accident been redeemed against the wrong profile.
