Nope. Even the devs called it dramatic horror. They know it's not a survival horror game, why can't you accept it?

Clearly Mr.Nick has no clue what survival horror (as a genre) means.

You're fighting to survive in plenty of games, do you wish to class them as survival horror? and no it doesn't depend what difficulty you are on. You can kill everything put in front of you in Dead Space, you never need to run away.

Go play Silent Hill, Fatal Frame and the like, maybe than you can understand what survival horror is. Dead Space is action horror, deal with it.

Survival-Horror De-emphasizes combat. Fatal Frame, Silent Hill, Amnesia, REmake, Siren, and Clock Tower are Survival-Horror games. I wouldn't call Dead Space survival-horror.
