    Can Xbox please fix the game chat recording? They are so far behind the competition!


    Taken from Elgato: "At this time, the Xbox console only sends Game Chat or Lobby Chat to the connected headset. This is something Microsoft would need to change or update. If your headset does not have a mix-amp or similar device with a audio output like a Stream Port, then the only way to capture this is through a wired headset using Elgato Chat Link."

    This is so frustrating for content creators on Xbox. We shouldn't need more and more cables to do something PlayStation has achieved since the start of the PS4.

    Please also bear in mind.

    Xbox clips don't record voice/game chat currently. You can record the voice on a different device and then add it to your gameplay, or stream the content trough twitch. You can also use a capture card.

    But if you don't have any equipment, only the Xbox recording feature will not record the game chat/party voice.

    XBOX PLEASE READ!!!!! WE NEED THIS. I know that there are some privacy issues when recording random people in game chat, but could you make it so that it plays through both in a party at least? I aswell am a Youtube and Twitch gamer and all my videos are
    dumb because im playing with my friends but it just sounds like im talking to myself. Please fix this PLEASE. The older gen console could do it, why cant this one. If your reading this, I know you probably hear this same request a lot. But it is a huge pain
    in the neck to record party chat on the xbox one. If im not mistaken, the PS4 can, so xbox please step up and make all your fans happy.

    That is an interesting thought @ cheesy. I think it was quite the opposite. I believe the Xbox One was still a work in progress, and when the competition revealed their controller Xbox One was then in hurry up mode. They did not want to release the
    console to far behind the competition. I believe my theory to be true considering the sporadic release dates for different regions and frequent updates for features. While the 360 was updated often, and evolved far more than the competition, I don't believe
    monthly updates was in the planner

    I hard reset my console a few more times to try and get the DVR to record sound and to my surprise it had started working, the only problem is the sound was so far behind the clip that the entire audio was behind by at least 3-4 seconds. Wonderful.
