    Can Xbox one player's and Xbox series x talk in party chat?


    Can xbox one and xbox series x player's be in party chat and talk to each other because my friend has the xbox series x and I have xbox one s,so I joined my friend party chat and my friend wasn't talking so does that mean xbox one and xbox series x can't
    talk to each other in a party chat?

    I believe parties should be compatible. Might be something to do with your system settings since you just got the console. Hope this helps

    Audio messages(I can't hear them when run games)

    When i talk audio message i mean AUDIO MESSAGE NOT PARTY CHAT.

    Party chat is not message.

    And when i power on my console series x and previews xbox consoles(For example xbox one s) when i am at menu the audio messages work fine i can hear them normally but when i run any game(EXCEPT FOTZA HORIZON 5) any audio message send or receive i CAN'T listen it.

    Xbox One and Xbox 360 party systems are not compatible with each other. You can only join other Xbox One players in party chat.

    You can chat with Xbox 360 friends using Skype though.

    Everywhere (including all games even series x games show the new gamertag but in parties/chat, on the homescreen, in the xbox app, and in the system menus show the old one.
