    Hello guys!

Im not super tech savvy so bare with me! So I always go on websites such as 123movies or Afdah (free movies streaming websites, not THOSE kinds of movies i know what youre thinking ) for a while, but recently i noticed my xbox has slowed down quite a bit. Theres a significant delay in opening any app, opening the main home page, turning on or off. Apps take forever to open and i always get a message of “Sorry we couldnt open this app” or “getting this app ready for you one sec” something along the lines of that. I have to reset my console (saving all my games and app data), hard shut off the console, and reconnect to the internet frequently to get the xbox to function. I dont think its my internet because my other tvs and computers work just fine. I dont know if the xbox has a virus or what. Any recommendations would be great!

    :)

Hello again, you can do the procedure below once, if the slowdown persists do again, and in the last case would be a console reset.

    Cache Xbox One

The first is a cache cleanup:

    1. Go to xbox press and hold the XBOX power button on your console for 10 seconds until it turns off

    2. Wait 10 seconds for it to turn off

    3. Wait 1 minute with it off

    4. Turn it back on

Hello, first it's a pleasure to be able to help you today.

My name is welcome to the community.

Hello WaTerMelon, its not possible to get a virus, what may have happened is that it has accumulated some data in the cache and can not swap to be able to free up this space, and depending on the available space you have on Xbox this can cause it to slow down a little bit when starting games.

Hello again, try to choose the option where it says "troubleshooting", it will probably cause you to do a reset to the console.

Can Xbox One get a virus from a web browser?

When i did those steps, an error message saying “Something went wrong” with the system error E200 000000EF pops up and gives me the options of restarting it or troubleshooting. I restarted it and now its just stuck on the cycle of either freezing on the green startup screen or only giving me the option to restart it. Any suggestions?
