can Xbox help catch a digital thief?

Back in the summer I bought a xbox one with a digital copy of The Division. I had no desire for the Division but that was the bundle on sale so I got it. I decided and did to sell the card with the code for the Division on Ebay and all was good.

fast forward to today. I get a charge back saying the customer card to make the purchase was used fraudulently. I still have the emails used with the purchaser and the code that was used. I'm just wondering if someone from xbox is able to find the account
that used that code and invalidate it so the thief can no longer play that game. And if so please contact me and I will provide the emails and such as proof.

as stated above, calling out game tags is N O T allowed, report the user from your console and block any and all communication with that person is the ONLY things you can do.

If the thief tries to use it online Microsoft can track it by ip address and pass over information to the police. They then can trace it to where it is. So hope the thief tries to sign in online and you catch him or her.

sorry to hear. First of all you shoul
as soon as possible change your password (and of your son) to prevent further damage!! Then you should contact the police, because it is their job to investigate the matter. You won't be able to catch the thief even with an IP address. But they can.

I really don't understand the pricing model. I was going to but Thief digital but decided I'd rather have the trade-in when I'm finished with it.
