Can we use dev mode? I have been told a few different things

what about emulation in dev mode then... we can expect the same?

or can we consider dev mode a different situation... different from publishing. like: a state in wich we can develop and run projects for educational or testing purposes in a sandbox environment?

So does this mean only my associated account can use a dev mode or can I use one of my other Xbox profiles to use dev mode?

We understand that you're having trouble activating Dev Mode on your new Xbox Series X. Just to set proper expectation, we do actually have a dedicated forum team for this type of concern we have. Good thing that you got me now, we will try to work on this together.

Before we start, can you confirm if you have already enrolled in the Xbox Development Program and have been approved as a developer?

In the meantime, it's important to note that in order to activate Dev Mode on your Xbox Series X, you need to have a valid Dev Center account. If you don't have one, you'll need to sign up for one before you can proceed with the activation process.

Get Registered



Assuming you have a valid Dev Center account, let's move on to the activation process. When you navigate to aka.ms/activatexbox, you should be brought to a page where you can enter the activation code that you received when you purchased your Dev Mode Activation License. If you're not seeing this page, there could be a few reasons why.



One possibility is that you're not signed-in to your Dev Center account. Make sure that you're signed-in to your account before navigating to aka.ms/activatexbox. If you're not signed in, you may be redirected to the Xbox development consoles tab in Microsoft Partner Center instead of the activation page.



Another possibility is that there may be an issue with the link itself. Try navigating to the activation page directly by going to partner.microsoft.com/en-us/dashboard/development/xbox/activation. This should take you directly to the activation page where you can enter your activation code.

Cheesy, MS have been planning this progression for a while now in regards to games working on all platforms. Unlike PS there is no such thing a Similar "Neo Mode" to be made. MS has Dx12/win10/UWP. All games dev for Windows 10 can run on all win 10 devices.
All scalable with little work on behalf of the devs.

They're not out of ideas, they just haven't had enough time to make new games yet. They are pumping out the games at a good rate. Last thing we want is the market flooded with loads of games that are crap because devs have been rushing them out.

The remakes don't need a full team of devs to produce them, a small group can do a few remakes inbetween making new game's. I like the fact I have plenty to play on my X1.
