Can we separate games that are downloaded on console to one's that need the disk to run them

Can we separate the games that we have bought on Xbox from the games that we need to disk to play. I have so many games that I always forget witch ones I bought online and witch ones I need the disk to play! Can we put some sort of marker or separate the
games so I can pull up games that need the disk to play from the games I can just click and play! This would make my life much better!

Adding 2nd console question??

Hello,

Im aware that we will need 2 separate game disks to both play at the same time on different consoles...But....1.) What happens to your progress and how do you maintain progress when you decide to play on the same console occassionally.

2.) Do the map packs purchased under the Primary (Family Gold) which are available to all on the account, are they available on both consoles? Can the Map Packs be downloaded to the 2nd console and be used on both??

HELP!!!

I am a novice, so be gentle please.

I have two kids with separate Xbox one's that are on the same account. I need to put them on separate accounts so I can have some peace. How do I put one on a separate account without losing the games I have bought and download into the system from online?
Can I transfer those games to the new account, or will those games remain with the account I purchased them with?

I love the idea too, perhaps additional markers could be assigned for subscription games such as EA Access and Game Pass too, though this may conflict with owned games.

In the meantime if you have an external drive and can remember it once you could manually organise them to different drives and rename them to let you know which is which, then just add games to them as you get them.

unfortunately you cannot do that.

Of course you can download and play games you own in digital format.

If you own a physical copy of a game, the disk is the proof the console needs to know you actually own the game every time you run it, so a disk reader is needed.

I have had load failures on some days even though our disk is installed. I thought it was a server or internet problem. Actually, we have two consoles. One is running the installed disk version of Reach. The other is running the download version. We have
experienced occasional load failures on both.

When you put the disk in it doesn't actually download the game. It installs the game on your Xbox. Installing a game off disk is a lot quicker than downloading the digital game. A lot of times if you are installing the game it will also download any updates
to the game at the same time. This can make things run slower. So I would suggest waiting to download the update after you install the game.

Also, the reason that you still need the disk in the Xbox to play the game after you have installed it, is to ensure that you still own the rights to play that game. Otherwise, people could just go rent a game and play it forever.

I am not 100% sure why this console needs to install games rather than just play it off the disk. I would assume it is because games now days have a lot more data. And the console would not be able to process that amount of information
properly off disk run the game. You need to remember back in the days of the 360 games on average would only be 4GB. Now on the Xbox one your average game is 30GB. This might also be Xbox's way of quality insurance, to ensure that all games run the best they
can.
