    Can we please get the option to turn off the on-screen keyboard when using a physical keyboard?


    Seriously, why does the Xbox on-screen keyboard still pop up every time I type with a physical keyboard? It blocks chat boxes, interrupts gameplay, and is just annoying in games like Roblox, Minecraft, and any text-heavy app.

    Solution: Bring back the toggle that used to exist in early Insider builds: “Disable on-screen keyboard when a physical keyboard is connected.”

    • Default ON for accessibility so no one loses functionality.
    • Optional for those of us with keyboards so we don’t have to hit B every time.

    It’s a small change with a huge impact. Come on Microsoft, make this QoL update happen — keyboard users will thank you.

    I use Microsoft edge on Xbox quite a bit and would like to be able to turn off the on-screen keyboard when typing. I use a mouse and keyboard, so I don't

    need the on-screen one. As of right now, I can't find a way to turn it off, I just see an option to change the size of the on-screen keyboard, but not turn it off.

    I do have the latest Xbox and Edge version.

    - Go to Start > Search and click on on-screen keyboard.

    - Then, please open Minecraft in window mode (not fullscreen) and see if you can play it using the on-screen keyboard.

    This will let us know if this is an issue with Minecraft not recognizing keyboard inputs or if this is an issue with your particular keyboard (maybe the driver).

    Friend, really the only way to remove this option is through the application itself.

    You can disable the on screen keyboard. Get the Windows 10 App, you can turn it off from there. It's under "settings" and under the headline "Typing on my Xbox."

    Afterwards, the keyboard option will stop appearing.

    I don't know how, but Minecraft automatically got fixed without censoring keyboard. Thanks for answering my question.
