Can we get a "Group by Storage" Option on Xbox One / Series X & S Please.

I hate having to go to filter and select "by storage" 3 times and thus having have the other options disappear to see what is on what storage device. I'd much rather have a group selection by storage so all my installs appear exactly where they need to be! it would be the best option and actually be more useful than the second best option which is group by console type. I know I can go into manage games, but you need to do this for every title or go into storage options.

So Xbox Devs "Group by Storage Type" Please.

Storage Types being for Xbox Series X & S:

    > Internal Storage

    > Storage Expansion Card

    > External Device

Storage Types for Xbox One Family of Consoles:

    > Internal Storage

    > External Storage Device

Perhaps even a step further and create Icons for each storage medium? and have those appear when people select "Group by Console Type"?

    Xbox Series S

    Hi,

Yes you can use it. You can use any external storage that the Xbox One supported on the Series X and S. However, external storage can only be used to play Xbox One games and BC Xbox 360 and original Xbox games.

Series X and S titles need to be run either from the internal SSD or the optional expansion card.

    god?

Hello, SerratedGem5935. I’m Arturo, and I’ll be glad to assist with your inquiry today.

There are two types of storage drives available for Xbox Series X|S consoles.

The first one is the expansion card, Seagate and WD. This card has a dedicated slot on the console and allows you to store and play Xbox Series X|S titles, and also Xbox One, Xbox 360 and original Xbox titles.

The second option is getting an external USB drive.
However, with this option, you can store and play Xbox One, 360 and original Xbox titles, but for Xbox Series X|S games you can only store them and not play.

    Regards,

    Arturo.

    Optimized Games X|S

    Hi,

Both Series X/S games and Xbox One games that been optimised (I'm British) for Series X/S must be installed on either the internal storage or the expansion card. They can not be run from a USB connected storage device. My optimised Series X/S Xbox One games
were moved to my Expansion card during their update.

Can you use external hard drives on xbox series s

    Hi,

Series X|S optimised games can only run on either the internal storage or expansion card. You can 'store' Series X|S on a USB hard drive/SSD for later but you can't play them from these drives as they're not fast enough.

Xbox One games that are not optimised for Series X|S can be run from USB Storage.
