Can two consoles play online together with one Xbox gold account?

i have two 360s and an Xbox one and am trying to figure out a way for my wife and I to play Destiny online with each other. I realize we will need two copies of the game, but do we need two paid subscriptions,too? Or is there a way to play multiplayer from
one account? Than

The Xbox One console allows a Gold membership holder to share their Gold access with one entire Xbox One console, whomever is playing on it. While the Free member is playing online with the Home Gold console, the Gold member can then play online at the
same time using another console that is not set up with Home Gold. Therefore, 1 Gold membership can cover two consoles.

Split screen + Online multi-player?

Ok, slightly different question.

My two sons love playing Minecraft. I bought them a 360 and Minecraft so they could play together, split screen. Works perfectly.

Now, one has Xbox Live Gold. The other does not. We ran into some issues until we ticked the Play Offline.

My question is this, if I buy another Live Gold account for the other boy, can they play together (split screen) ONLINE with other friends on the Internet? So, three of them playing together - two local and one on the Internet.

You would each need your own subscription. In order to play together, you would both have to play on the 360 because you can't play cross-platform (360 and One). On the 360 each account needs to have its own subscription in order to play online.

Also, if there are no gold accounts on either Xbox, they may not be able to play online. If there's one gold account and one of the xbox ones is set as a home console, there is a way to share gold on two consoles at once.

First, log out of the gold account on the home console, and allow child account number one to log in there. That account will be able to log into and access online multiplayer so that the kids can play together due to the shared gold feature of a home console.
Then, on the second xbox one, log into both the gold account and the second child account. Then use the second child account to log into the game. You should be able to use gold in that way on that console as long as the gold account is logged in.

Hi there,

if your nephew is using the same account on both 360 and Xbox One, then the account should have Gold on both consoles,

Gold is something that is connected to the Account and not the console, so on whatever console he uses the account it should have the Gold subscription.

if he created a new account on the Xbox One, then there are two different accounts on the consoles and then only one of those got the Gold subscription

So depending on the situation he can or can not play together with you, also be aware that it will also depend on the game what options of playing together are present.

To play together with two Xbox consoles, you'll need to have two copies of the game, and two Gold accounts. There's no "family plan discounts" as far as I know; it's just every Xbox account purchasing Gold for itself.

If you have an extra controller, you can at least play splitscreen with Minecraft on the same console.
