Can This Be My Setup, or, Can It Be My XBOX?

So I got a pioneer receiver, xbox 360 (of course), ps3, and the wii and a 55 inch tv.

I have everything except my wii connected with an hdmi cord

Here is the problem.

My xbox 360 restarts when my tv or receiver turns off,

or if my son turns the *** on my receiver changing my inputs to like tuner or the ps3, my xbox will restart.

it is so annoying, because my wii and my ps3 don't do that.

and my wifes xbox 360 E doesn't do that either

what can I do?

even if it wasn't fake...it'd still be goofy...who'd go through all that jumping through hoops nonsense ...."run over here, drop ammo and jump 3 times...now pat your head and rub your stomach at the same time...."

 

Oh wow! Never heard of the 360 actually restarting the input is changed or tv/receiver is turned off. I wonder if it's something that the 360 just doesn't cooperate with the receiver. What model is the receiver?

 

DSX is all I know, I do not know the numbers after that, but if you are looking it up, the left *** is huge and is for the inputs, and the right *** is also huge and is for the volume. and it only has a front plug in for headphones, everything else is in
the back. also, it came with 5 satellite speakers and a sub, all together, about 660 watts

 

This is strange - I've got 3 consoles connected all running and never had the TV controlling the events of channel surfing.

You could try swapping the inputs of devices on your TV to see if it is an input that's causing the problem. You might have one input that's dodgey and you'll soon find out which one.

Alternately if you are using a media hub or an amp for integrating the gaming consoles for use on one or two TV inputs I would have to sat that there is a conflict fo setting from the TV. You'd need a TV Technician that has some computer game console knowledge
to fix the bug. A normal TV guy would be useless. Technical glitches are an issue with older TV's even some Plasmas have firmware embedded chip-sets that conflict with some console technology.

You might be better off dumping the TV and getting a more modern unit but if cost is an issue you could buy a switch box from Tandy or DS and use a manual control to switch between devices. However, you cannot have them running simultaneously.
