Can the Straight Talk Mobile Wifi work with Xbox 360 S

Recently, we got a new mobile wifi to repace our verizon one that broke. Tried to connect it last night but when I tested the connection, it dosen't work,even with 3 to 4 bars appearing.

I have been thinking, what if my new wifi isnt compatible. Its not like the wifi is run by verizon or At&T. Can anyone confirm this?

Here is the infomation about the wifi Iam using:

Name: Straight Talk Wi-FI Hotspot. (It has UMX labled on the back as well)

Why won't my xbox 360 connect

So my xbox 360 will connect to my straight talk hotspot but it will not connect to xbox live or internet for some reason it works through wifi. Plz help

 

Question about router setup

A wireless router is your best bet. Your xbox and computer can work with ethernet cables and if you have a mobile with wifi it can connect too. The set up is straight forward and there is always telephone support if you
need it.

 

Hey there, SurplusNose41! The 360 doesn't work well on 3G/4G connections, as listed here on our

Xbox Live information page (under Wireless Connection). That would be the most likely reason why you're running into connection problems.

 

Thanks for the reply. One more thing, would the Xbox One work with 3G/4g connections? I may upgrade to that console if my Straight Talk WiFi is compatible with it. Thanks.

 

for the record I have been running off mobile hotspot for the past 3 years and yes absolutely it will work from 3g connection so therefore your information is wrong

 

I also am running off my Hotspot it work fine. It is 4G lte
