Can the Seagate expansion card be used to transfer / copy games between Xboxes?

Yes, you can use the expansion card or even an external hard drive to transfer the games to your new Xbox Series X.

Well here is the thing

Yes you can but it wouldn't be smart

With the series x and s smart delivery versions aren't the same

With the series s because you don't need RT and 4k you lose those because of the limited space

So fps boost would be less

So one optimised for s would lack the components for 4k on the series x

You would still be able to download the extra packs but you are going to need to connect to the internet to download the update on series x

Should be noted that you can only play on your profile on one console at a time

The second console has to be signed into their own profile and assigned as your home console and you play on the other console but signed online at all times to be played on both consoles as home console can only be one console

You can transfer just fine, but since you can't connect two Seagate Expansion Cards on the same console, you'll need to transfer your data to a external SSD or Xbox internal storage, then transfer it again to the other Seagate Expansion Card.

Choose Settings > System > Storage. Choose the expansion card with all your games on and then pick Transfer. You pick and choose what you actually want to transfer, or pick Select All. Select where you want to transfer it (SSD or Internal Storage). Wait for the transfer.

After all, plug your 2TB Seagate Expansion Card and repeat the process.

You have two options with the Series X, either the official expansion card which adds 1TB extra storage, and you can run your Series X Enhanced games directly from it (link below):

Or you can run a USB External hard drive, but you will need to copy your Series X Enhanced games from that to your internal SSD before being able to play. This is the cheaper solution if your happy to copy the games back and forth as you wish, other wise
it's the official Seagate expansion card.

Xbox Series X|S games can not be run from USB storage devices. These drives are too slow for Series X|S games, regardless of them being on Game Pass or not.

Series X|S games can only be played on either the Internal SSD, a Seagate Storage Expansion Card for Xbox Series X|S or the WD_BLACK C50 Expansion Card for Xbox
