Can talk to people when in a party

If you had any sort of enforcement actions on your account, when you try to use party chat, you'd be notified that your profile is unable to use this feature. You can also verify this by signing into your account at
enforcement.xbox.com It sounds like there could be a NAT issue.

Let's check a few things to narrow this down. Does the issue persist when using both wired or wireless network connections on the console?



Run a Detailed Network Statistics test on the Xbox One console and please provide the following information.

• Download Speed
• Upload Speed
• Latency
• Packet Loss %
• Wireless Strength (if applicable)
• Modem Manufacturer
• Router Manufacturer (if being used) as well as the model number
• NAT Type

Let's then have you try to do a Network power cycle, to see if it helps.

• Start by powering off and unplugging your Modem, Router (if applicable) and Xbox One console.
  
• After 60 seconds of the devices being powered off, turn on the power to your Modem and then the Router (if applicable).
  
• Wait another 60 seconds for the network equipment to turn on and gain the proper signals from your ISP. Then turn on your Xbox One console.

Basically, since the release of party chat years ago, lobbys become desolate of people in Game Chat. But for BF3, you can only talk with your squad so at best there will be 3 people to communicate with. Most people are either in a party or just don't want
to talk. I've heard people make noises when they play but not talk. I personally just don't care to talk with people outside of my friends (hence typically in party chat). So, I'm part of the problem I guess.

Lol it's weird I do the same thing, although there are times when I'll go to party chat to talk to people. Or the entire party will switch over so we can chat with the other people.

When you see the little speaker, people can hear and talk to you.

When you see a little group of people next to thier name they are in a separte party by themselves with people on thier friends list who are playing other games. The can't hear or talk to you. This makes it very hard to cooperate.

My headset only works in party chat. When I'm playing other games I can see that people are talking but I can't hear them and they can't hear me. It only works in party chat.
