Can`t sync cloud data

Maybe it could be a NAT issue. What your Nat type? Do a multiplayer connection test when it finishes hold both triggers and bumbers to give you a better detail info.

What is it saying when it saying can't sync? What % does it get to before it fails

 

I have had this issue. It first happened when I had issues with Forza Horizon 2 tune setup manager crashing on a certain car. I cleared all my game saves on JUST the xbox one. I then did clear persistant storage, and mac address and hard reset and removed
my profile. Then, when I went to play Minecraft it had to pull the game save from the cloud. This got to 44% every time and gave error 0x838601e7 | Can't sync Data. I managed to find a fix where I connected my iphone to the xbox by creating a hotspot. This
worked perfectly and I could sync. Last night I went to play batman arkham and need for speed and the EXACT same issue, but after 3 attempts it DID eventually sync with the cloud.

Im a bit confused as to whether its my broadband with sky, or is it the xbox one cloud?

Any thoughts?

 

hmm sense you said that work it might be a router or modem issue. You try a 30-30-30 reset on the router?

 

what is this 30-30-30 reset purestevenl? I have opened all ports last night with the help of the xbox chat. Still not syncing.

 

I may know what the issue is. I am currently with sky broadband and have upgraded to fibre optic. I have plugged the new router in ready and it is due to change over on Friday. the broadband supplier is the same but im just going from normal broadband to
fibre optic. maybe this could be the issue.

but. I had the issue with minecraft not syncing world last week, so that was before I called my broadband provider to upgrade.

any ideas?

 

either that or its something to do with the actual game saves in the cloud. the fact is that I CAN get the sync to work if I tether my iphone and use my 4g coverage to sync with the cloud.

 

30-30-30 is where you take a paper clip or something that can hold the restart button on the router for 30 seconds than unplug it while still holding the restart button plug it in after 30 secs and keep holding it for 30 secs which is why it call 30-30-30
and you cant let go of the restart button at all until you finish the last step

 

I have it partially working now. I tried this:- router settings are normally about the same for all...

Log onto sky hub (type in 192.168.0.1 into the address bar of a web brower).

username: admin

password: sky

Click on the maintenance tab, make a note of the Gateway IP Address under the heading Broadband Port.

Click on the maintenance tab, then click on LAN IP Setup.

Scroll down to Address Reservation, click Add, then select your xbox from the attached devices list, then click add (make sure to connect your xbox to your wireless network first, (xbox settings, Network, Set up wireless network etc)).

Click on the Security tab, then click on services.

Click on Add Service, then in the name box type in xbox (there will be 7 services to add in total, name them xbox1, xbox2... etc)

Type: UDP

Start port: 88

Finish port : 88

Then click Apply.

Repeat this step for ports 500, 3544 and 4500.

Repeat this step for port 80 but change the type to TCP.

Repeat this step for ports 3074 and 53 but change the type to TCP/UDP.

Click on Firewall Rules under the Security tab.

Click on Add under the heading Outbound services.

Click on the drop down list for service and scroll down to the services you created in the previous step, ie xbox, xbox1...etc.

Action: ALLOW always.

LAN users: any

WAN users: any

Log: never

Click apply.

Repeat this step until you have all 7 services you created listed under Outbound services.

Click on Add under the heading Inbound services.

Click on the drop down list for service and scroll down to the services you created, ie xbox, xbox1...etc.

Action: ALLOW always

Send to LAN Server: this is where you enter the Gateway IP Address you made a note of earlier.

WAN users: any

Log: never

Click apply.

Repeat this step until you have all 7 services you created listed under Inbound services.

Once that is all done you should be able to access xbox live, hope this helps.

 

Something of interest I have just tested.....

Deleted save game on batman and horizon 2

Went to sync... No luck....

Change wireless network to 802.11b only.... And guess what!

IT SYNCED!

This has been tested now with all my games with the exception of minecraft but I think that's purely minecraft

I have no idea why it works, but it does.

Spent 2 hours troubleshooting and googling fixes.

Finally set my router to B only and it synced in seconds. Way to go!

 

I have to say this is bizarre! I changed over to fibre optic broadband with sky in the UK today. I'm getting twice the speeds. I have conducted a test where I have set my router to auto. It gives me a choice of auto, 54g auto, 54g performance, 54g LRS, and
802.11b only. I deleted my batman game saves. Cleared reserved memory. Went to load game and it started to sync.... Then said unable to sync at 44%!?.

I then change my router setting over to 802.11b only and boom, it shot straight up to 100%!?

If anyone from Microsoft is reading this, please can you look into this for us. I've come up with a fix, but you should not need to change this as when change it down to 802.11b my broadband speed is now 5mbps!?

 

Usely it be a isp issue than maybe they blocking. My power been going out everyday for past 3 days and come on at 2am and goes off before I could get on the forums or xbox. I at my gfs so that's how i can help right now.

 

I have the exact same problem and I have contacted support and done just about everything to try to fix it the only thing I have not done is factory restore my console which I am thinking about doing, you could try that too or if someone has already done
that please comment on the result of it and if it fixed the issue. I am having a hard time retrieving my minecraft saves be cause of this.
