Can;t get to game forums, re direct adds

nearly every time I click a link to one of the game forums, I get sent to this link instead.

Ya really think constantly spammin me is gonna get me to buy a Xbox ONE???

No it just *** me off, I click the link to go to a game forum, not to see an add.

Make the games backwards compatable and maybe, but Im not gonna spend $2000 to get a new system and all my games back.

Unless you give me a ONE for free, its not gonna happen any time soon, not this year, not next.......

2016-17 when you can find cool games used for half price or less will it be affordable to switch.

I wouldn`t know where to direct you as i have no idea what you`re asking.

 

I think it's just a glitch in the system. I've had that happen from the XCL website, which, while Xbox, has nothing to do with the forums.

 

The first time I visit the forum it redirects me to the xbox.com homepage as well.

Balverine: I take it the reason you are asking for Likes in your sig is because of the XCE Community Specialisation? Does that give rewards the same as Ambassador levels?

and in the last week the game forums are barren, when they use to have new post often, suddenly their all dead.

 

I've noticed that in addition to being redirected to the main page, when I try to go to certain Xbox pages, like the marketplace, I get stuck in a login/logout loop that won't let a page load. Ironically, this issue seems to affect IE but not Firefox.

@Vaynel, I did add that to my sig in part as a response to the new "Forum" specialization. I am currently maxed out for XCL rank and have plenty of XP. The only thing that "likes" gets me is shiny new badge updates for the forum specialization and, of course,
likes.

I have noticed this as well.

I find it quite annoying, but is only happens to me on my phone for some reason. Not the PC :/

On the Login and logout loop, I find that when I go to my friends, most annoying when you have to tabs open on separate MC Communities. This happens on my PC, as well as My phone. Might need to try FireFox then

 

Interesting; I didn't see that in either of the two Ambassador e-mails that I received this month. The only Challenge is for taking 10 chats a week (consecutive weeks net increased sweeps tickets); the other item is tickets for the Warface Academy Quizzes....

Fair enough they are given prizes for helping but to have to be offered them to do it in the first place is somewhat wrong. Challenges are an incentive to help, not a reward for having done so.

You're a good poster from what I've seen Balverine but what you've just told people is just going to give folk a more negative impression of the Ambassadors. They already have a reputation for being in it for the rewards.

 

I'll admit that some are, but they tend not to last long. The Challenges tend to require significant effort to achieve, though some are easier than others. For instance, the Weekend Warrior, which is an ongoing challenge, requires a minimum of 50 answered
chats combined with an average chat rating of 6.0 or higher. The only thing that you get for this is the square badge in forums gamercard with the two Ws displayed. (xcl.xbox.com/article.aspx).

For some challenges, you needed to get up to 100, 120, or even 200 positive assists. Yes, there are some prizes involved with some of these. Usually, it is extra XP or sweepstakes tickets. For one challenge (during the launch of the Xbox One), after 200
positive assists, I got my Ambassador Badge upgraded to the color version you now see (upon reaching lower assist levels, I did get bonus XP and an Ambassador Avatar hat).

For me, the challenges are just that. To challenge myself to reach the highest level in the challenge. I've seen others far exceed these requirements. Again, using the XB1 Launch Challenge as an example, the highest challenge level required 200 assists during
the challenge period. One Ambassador reached 547 Assists and had an average rating of at least 7.0! I only had 321 assists during that challenge.

So, back to your comment, yes like any job or volunteer position, some people are only in it for what they can get or how they appear to others in their community, while the rest are in it for less selfish reasons. Those who are in it merely for personal
gain don't tend to stay around to put in the effort required.
