Can successfully refunded games be repurchased?

You should still be able to purchase a game after refunding, but if the refund hasn't been approved yet, that could mess up the approval. As far as the price, if the sale is over, you wouldn't get the same price, you'd get whatever the price is in the store when you buy it.

If you request a refund for an xbox series s game and it is approved, can you repurchase the same game and still get the refund back? For example: you purchased Elden Ring, requested a refund and got it approved, then repurchase the game before the refund is processed and put back into your bank account. Does that cause any issues on Microsoft's end?

It can be done in-game through Marketplace. However, if he just bought it, he can process a refund by going to xbox.com/refunds and repurchase the bundle that he prefer.

You'd have to contact support again to see if they can refund the original purchase so you can repurchase the game at a discount.
