    Can Starfield saves from Gamepass be copied to Steam?


    I would like to try the game at launch on Gamepass because I can't afford to buy it yet, but once I could, I would buy it on Steam because I have a Steam Deck too. (Hopefully it will work on it, if not that's alright, Steam is still my main platform for purchasing games...)

    a good few games saves can be transferred from gamepass to steam easily, some require a third party app to convert the saves, but yes can be done, i transferred a bunch a while ago as my main platform is steam, i also transferred saves between GOG, EA, Ubisoft and Battlenet. Epic hardly needed anything done as a lot of the games on epic are actually steam games (lol).

    Some saves can also be transferred to gamepass games quite easily.

    Saves are almost never transferable between platforms, which includes separate stores on PC

    The save file from Gamepass would not cross over to Steam. The work around to play on Steam deck would be to do so by accessing Gamepass on the Steam deck.
