Can someone remove my parent control account on my Xbox Live account?

I have a yahoo account that does not exist on yahoo under my parent control account and I want to remove it because I cannot make purchases on the Xbox one. Can someone please remove the account off of my Xbox Live? It would be appreciated.

Changing a parent account

Is there a way to log on a parent account and remove a child account via www.xbox.com? The parent account that my account is asociated with isn't reliable since the parent that controls that account is gone and also gave his Xbox to another person with
the parent account still on that Xbox console, so that's why I need it removed and changed through the website, if possible. I've seen someone have the same issue and their problem was solved, but that solution didn't work, probably because that solution
was out-dated.

My want/need:

-To have my parent account changed to another Xbox Live account/Windows Live ID

Removing Parental Controls

Hello, I have been trying to remove parental controls from my xbox one account and cannot figure out how. I know that I have to get onto my parents account and remove it but I can't figure out what for sure is my parent account. When I set up my xbox one
I created a separate account that I do not use for xbox live. That separate account was the first account that was on my xbox so does that make it my parent account? Now if it is that brings up another problem. I completely forgot most the information for
the account. I have no idea what the email was that I used to set it up and doubt that I have any means of recovering it due to the lack of information I have on it. So is there someway I can manually remove my live account from the family with the first account
I created? And if there isn't is there some other way to remove parental controls?

To clarify, if your account is classified as a child account, removing or changing the age on the account will not make it an adult account. Your account will become an adult account as soon as it reached the age of majority in your country. This guide

So i would have to sign in on my parents account and make an xbox live account on it to remove my parental controls? We already looked around on her Microsoft account and couldnt find anything

No, they shouldn't be removed. Parents should use the tools provided.

Hi there,

you can't really remove the parental account untill his account has reached the legal age limit. This based on the birthdate on his account, which can not be changed.

But you can change the parental settings which should allow him to add friends and play games etc without the need of the approval from the parental account.

Is there any parental restrictions on your console ?

If you did not create a Live account that is not over 18 years old, it is unfortunately impossible to COMPLETELY remove the parental controls on the Xbox, however, it is possible to almost completely turn them off. If you have access to the 'parent' account
of the child's account on the Xbox 360 and you have your own Xbox Live Gamertag, you can login using your Windows Live account on Xbox.com and change parental control settings.

If the "Child" account has reached the age of 18, then you need to sign into the "Parent" account and follow these steps to convert the account to an "Adult" account:

Go to My Xbox, and open your profile.

Select Manage Account.

Select Promote Child Account.

Follow the required steps.

If the "Child" account is NOT atleast 18 years old then this is how to modify the Parental Control settings (Note: You can NOT completely disable Parental Controls, games that have ratings above the neccesary age can NOT be downloaded on the "Child"account):

Sign in using the "Child" account's Live email address and password.

Click on the gamertag in the upper right hand corner of the site.

Click the Manage Profile button.

Under the Gamer Profile heading, choose "Family Settings".

It will now ask to sign in as the "Parent" account.

After signing in, you can change the Parental Control limitations.

When done, click the save button at the bottom of the page.
