Can someone help me with the Microsoft points

Hello all,

So my soon to be 10 year old son has been bugging me about getting him microsoft points for his box live. hes told me he can get games from the points cheaper then what you can get them in from the shops?

What i would like to know is what are microsoft points and how do the work. hes asked me for a $50 card one. But i don't want to spend $50 on something i have no idea about.

He has xbox live.

please help me

So they're not called Microsoft points anymore; they are just called currency. Basically, you would redeem a code off of a "Xbox Gift Card" like the $50 one that you mention and in that case, $50 would be added to your son's Xbox Live account that can be
used to purchase games, movies, t.v. shows, music, game add-ons, and more from the Xbox marketplace.

Games tend to be pricier on the Xbox marketplace than getting them through physical stores, but sometimes there are sales and special deals where the price of games are a steal

Still waiting for reply 2 weeks later. Extremely disappointed. And still no Microsoft points either. If nobody is able to help me on here from Microsoft then can u give me a number to contact for someone who can.
