    I have been having problems with my Xbox lately, it has started making me
    lose my progress
    on games, a lot more...

    Now it has started to go onto the troubleshooting screen (it has happened once; now again) and
    not let me off of it. I have tried everything, but no button is working... The error code is
    E102. I have tried searching it up on the Xbox help website, but it just showed on how to bring me onto the troubleshooting screen -I am already on it.

    I hope somebody can help me as I do not know why my Xbox is glitching...

    If you need a more detailed description, please tell me.

    If you're using wired ethernet to connect to your network hardware, you must disconnect it prior to attempting the steps outlined in System
    updates solution
    for a Offline System Update (OSU) using the files downloaded to a USB drive from your PC.

    If the steps in the link do not resolve your issue, you need a repair of the console.

    Hi Alfie,

    Thanks for coming to the forums. We understand you are having issue with error code E 102. The E error codes are all system errors. This is the software on your Xbox console. If you are unable to access any buttons on the troubleshoot you can try an

    offline update
    . If that doesn't work you will most likely need a repair of the console. You can go to

    device support
    to see if the console is in warranty and set up a repair.

    I would recommend and checking on device support for the help also check if your storage is low because having low storage can make it so you can't save game progress since to save game progress you need storage, yours sincerely told up unicorn

    Hi Alfie,

    To use the Offline System Update, you'll need:

    • A Windows-based PC with an Internet connection and a USB port.
    • A USB flash drive with a minimum of 6 GB of space formatted as NTFS.

    If you click on the link XBF Brad provided, it redirects you to an online support tool that explains everything and provides the files you need to download and extract in order to perform an offline system update. Select I NEED TO UPDATE MY CONSOLE

    when you go to the tool and follow all of the steps.

    You can also follow this guide on how to reset your console to factory defaults using the USB offline method: https://beta.support.xbox.com/help/hardware-network/console/reset-console-to-factory-defaults

    If you continue to get E102 startup errors, then the console will need to be serviced.
