Your windows Live ID is your MS account or Xbox Live account.They are now unified.If you have one,which you do,(Xbox Live acct)then you have them all.So when asked for your WindowsLive ID simply sign in with the same email and password as your Xbox Live
acct.

yes tried that. He cant sign into the acct from any xbox nor can he sign into live via PC.

You have to sign OUT of all profiles, hit the big green x button on the controller and go to download profile. Sign into xbox live and start the whole process over for your profile. Then you're back in as you and you can start playing in/with your xbox
live acct on the 360 itself.

F'd process; it should scream at you to have a live acct. Some folks have young kids that don't need a live acct until you're f'n hosed by the game maker and FORCED, practically at gun point, to have the live acct to play the $40 game you just paid for.
