Can share games but live gold with 2 consoles

Previously my son and I were both on my xbox one, my account is the live gold subscription and I added him as family. He made his own gamertag account and was able to play the games I downloaded and play multiplayer. Did not need to make my xbox "my home
xbox" to accomplish this. Recently my son got a xbox one S. I signed into the One S and recovered my gamertag, then made it "my home xbox". Second recovered my son's gamertag. He was now able to download my digital games. Now on my xbox one his gamertag when
signed in shows my xbox one as "my home xbox". I should mention I didn't need to do anything to make that happen, seems it did it on it's own. However I can't share my live gold subscription with him on either xbox. Can anyone help?

    :)

    Hey YOESH

Thank you so very much for taking the time to post this on the Xbox Forums. Im understanding that you are unable to use the

    Home Xbox features
    to its fullest capabilities?

I would like you to take a look at
How to designate an Xbox One console as your home Xbox
to further get a lil more information as to how this feature works. Additionally I will elaborate a bit more on this.

So you in order for you son to get access to all of your Xbox Live Gold subscription, games and apps, you will have to initially add your account to the console and then set it up as your Home Xbox by following these steps:

    1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
    2. Select System > Settings > Personalization, and then select
      My home Xbox.
    3. Do either of the following:
      • Select Make this my home Xbox to designate the console as your home Xbox
After that you are able to remove your profile from the console and you will be able to share your games and your son will be able to reap the benefits of your subscriptions. This only applies to digital games purchased via the Xbox Store. Take
in mind that in order for you to be able to play your purchased games on your console you will need to have a stable connection to the Xbox Live.

Note You can have only one home Xbox at a time. You can share purchased games and Gold with others only on your home Xbox. You get 5 switches per year. Customer support cannot offer additional switches.

You are also able to share the
    Xbox Game Pass
subscription to a certain extend, but you yourself need to log into your sons console and download the Game Pass game. You don't have to remain logged in throughout the whole installation, and once it is don't installing on the console your
Home Xbox will be able to benefit from playing those installed games.

Go ahead and give this a try and let us know if it works out for you!

Yes, it is a child account. And after talking with EA, I am now aware of why he can not play. For the Teen rated SW Battlefront 2, he will have to wait a couple month till his 13th birthday to be able to play. Thanks again for following up on this issue.

    So that I understand.

Your son has a "child" account according to MS that is under your family and he is not able to play certain EA games.

    Is this correct?

If so this is a restriction on EAs side that does not allow "child" accounts to play Mature rated games even if the parent allows it.

I do not know if there is anything that even EA would be able to do for you but you are going down the right path by contacting them.

So, I've checked and double checked all settings and walkthroughs. And it seems that only certain games work with the multiplayer modes. After testing different games, it seems that it is specific to certain EA games, like Battlefield 1 and Battlefront
    2. I am currently trying to contact EA's customer service and will see if there is anything that can be done. Additional I have searched the "error code 524" and found people with the same probably. Thank you for your help.

    Xbox Live Gold

It depends on how you have your gold set up. You can only share gold on 1 console at a time. If the gold is tied to one of your son's accounts, they would need to set the other son's console as their Home console in order to share the gold with the other
son. The son with gold can then continue to use gold as long as he is signed into Live on the non-Home console. https://support.xbox.com/en-US/games/game-setup/my-home-xbox

If the gold is tied to your account, you would only be able to share on 1 of the 2 consoles. Then you would either need to be signed into the non-Home console or purchase gold on the 2nd son's accounts.
