Can play Dark Souls online on Xbox without Gold? Please read...

Hello!

I've already seen some posts about this, but none of them got a clear answer.

I'm a Silver Member, so, don't have Gold, but SOMETIMES, I can see messages everywhere, see other players' bloodstains, and EVEN got invaded once by an actual real player in Sen's Fortress, after killing the fireboulder throwing Giant, on top of that tower.

But most of the times in the beginning of the game it simply says that I'm not signed in and don't have multiplayer previleges.

SOooo, can I play online with silver membership or NOT?

How do I play Dark Souls 2 online?

I have a prepaid xbox live. But the menu in the game can not roll on "Go online".

Is this normal?

I purchased Dark Souls III on February 20th and I have not received the code for Dark Souls yet, I have checked my Xbox messages and my email and still didn't find the code. Please send the code for Dark Souls.

 

No. Silver membership has no online privileges with Xbox Live, however there is the exception of Warface which has a seven day trial for silver members. Other then this trial and the occasional game networking bug there is no way for you to play on Xbox
Live servers without Gold Membership. Sorry

Edit: Oh and there are certain apps that can be used with silver membership but those aren't games of course

 

You can not access the online features of Dark Souls (Co-op, PvP, Bloodstains, Messages & Invasions) unless you are a gold member. There was likely a free gold weekend when you were invaded.
