Can other Xbox 360 players ban your console?

You are not allowed to call out other gamertags on the forums.

Another player can not ban your console,only the xbox enforcement team can do that.

Report the player via your console & block communications with them.

Apologies but please do not name and shame other players on the forums. Only members of the XBLPET can ban or suspend players. This player is bluffing and attempting to scare you. Just file a complaint on the player via your console and block communications.

As others have said, you don't get console banned for killing people in games, if that was the case everyone who played CoD would get console banned.

You get console banned for breaking the terms of usage that you or your son agreed to when you bought the console.

Perhaps have a word with your son and ask him if he has been sending messages to other players, if so perhaps look at them (they are all stored on your console and on Microsofts servers) if he has been send offensive messages then this can get an account
banned, but shouldn't get a console ban.

Something else that can get an account ban is team killing, if your son was killing players on his own team then again that's not tolerated, even if someone else was doing it (know the saying two wrong don't make a right?)

I take that back. There is another way, and it's in the Internet language of packets. The Xbox 360 servers will not respond to packets sent by an Xbox One, nor will they respond to packets sent by a PlayStation 3 or a Wii U. They just respond to packets from
Xbox 360. It doesn't know the difference between an Xbox 360 packet created by a physical Xbox 360 console or a virtual session run on Xbox One. All it sees is Xbox 360 data, so it lets it in and does its thing. That's one of the reasons you're allowed to
be signed onto both Xbox One and Xbox 360 at the same time.

If you have a problem with players on a certain game, you have the following tools available, the same as every other player:

- You can report the offending players to Xbox Live. When you're playing a back-compatible Xbox 360 game on Xbox One (like Black Ops 2), press the Menu and View buttons at the same time to bring up the Xbox Guide. Go to Friends, then go to the far right tab.
This will show you the last players you have encountered in Xbox live titles. You can then select the player and press X to send feedback on them, or press A to open their profile and begin the complaint/report process.

- You can report the player to Activision. Activision has set up a reporting system within the game,

Reports sent to Microsoft are reviewed by their Policies Enforcement Team. The penalties can range from a temporary suspension to permanent account and console bans. If they detect a modified Xbox console, they can ban it from Xbox Live permanently.

Reports sent to Activision are reviewed by their teams. Their penalties can range from temporary time-outs or permanent bans from their titles. Again, the games are on their servers, not Microsoft's, and it is their responsibility to patch glitches or exploits
in their games. Similarly, Microsoft has a responsibility to patch exploits in their software and hardware, and they have methods for removing players and consoles that are not abiding by the Xbox Live Code of Conduct and/or Microsoft Services Agreement -
the aforementioned player and console bans.

If you choose not to report players, then your options change a bit:

- You can play the game as-is and take your chances.

- You can set up your own private invite-only lobby, where you admit only players you trust.

- You can play the single-player offline campaign.

- You can choose not to support the game (or any other game they publish) until Activision fixes it.

None of this affects the value or the interest in back-compat games on Xbox One. The fact that Sony is taking the step with its proposed next-gen console indicates that people want the service, warts and all. Again, I genuinely wish you good luck and happy
