Can not use DLC on my other Insystem accounts.

    Can not use DLC on my other Insystem accounts.


    For years i have started games over on my backup account. Always downloading the DLC before i switch to the account and playing the game. But yesterday i downloaded all the DLC switch accounts then start the game. "DLC items are corrupt please delete and
    download again." Is what i get when i try to start the game. After deleting and redownloading twice i notice it was never corrupted.So my question is this a new feature from the new Xbox update? Please if you have a answer for me i would like to know.

    LE DLC and Family Pack

    When I applied the DLC codes from the Halo 4 LE on my master account, I am unable to see/use these unlocks on the other accounts on the same Xbox. Any other DLC I have purchased for any other game I can see/use on any of our accounts. I hope this isn't
    specific to Halo 4. Thanks for any assistance.

    Hi. I posted this in the Halo 4 forum but think it fits better here. Not sure how to delete my other post though...

    as far as I know as long as it is the original console the DLC was downloaded too all accounts on that console should be able to access it with the exception of things like avatar items and similar, but everything else should be sharable.

    I do not have the original console. I have a older one my brother gave me but i have my Harddrive that holds my profiles. Will it not allow me to use DLC on other accounts on the new console?

    You would need to perform a license transfer so the new console has the console license on it. Then you can share the content.

    Can I purchase a game/add-on on one account, sign out of that account, and use it on another?

    It seems to be a little more complicated with the Series s and x now as the account that to be set to home on the console that you'll use the most for other accounts to use some/all of the DLC.

    My Series X is set to home on my main account and the other accounts can use any digital games and DLC no problem but on my Series S it's problematic to what DLC can be used since it's not my main accounts home console.

    A warning to what Smwutches said. There is some content that is registered to a console, meaning anyone on that console can access that DLC. This is typical of older DLC. However, since there was nothing stopping you from transferring it to other consoles
    to the same affect (so long as the original account that purchased the DLC was on that new Xbox), a lot of new DLC will only work for the account that purchased it.

    If you buy DLC on your account, only your account may be able to play it, and not your sons. While this isn't the case for all DLC, I've been noticing it occur with greater frequency. In addition I've tried within my own home to use DLC my brother has purchased
    on his Xbox with my account, and it would not let me play it.

    So in theory you can download to both consoles using one account, but only that account *may* be able to use it. Again, I stress may since it is not absolute and some DLC acts differently then others.
