Can not update or install games through Xbox GamePass PC

Maybe the error code i had was more straight forward. It's worth a try when you can. I also got a link to this https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/servicesagreement/faq.aspx which told me that the service agreements had been updated on the 1st of October. Perhaps
this has something to do with the issues raised.

When i also tried to download games from Microsoft store it failed, it told me that i needed admin permissions. I was able to download free games such as candy crush, but nothing that was a paid/game pass game. This has now been sorted with the step i did
earlier. I also tried to install on a different drive so that wasn't an issue for me.

I have the same issue which i only noticed yesterday. One of the games installed wasn't launching so i tried some others, they appeared to be fine and played fine online with PC game pass. I uninstalled the game i was initially trying to launch, then tried
to download again via xbox app. Each and every time it would give an error 0x00000000001 and wouldn't begin to install.

I tried to download half a dozen other games, each one gave the same result. I also tried installing to a different drive in case that was the issue. Restarted PC a few times, uninstalled xbox app and installed again, cleared the app cashe etc etc.

tried that still getting error 0x80070141

cannot install state of decay, msfs 2020 or fallout 76

I think i have tried this already, but i will give it another try this evening after work.

The error code I am receiving is 0x80070141. From what I can find, it has something to with the program not being able to find the drive I’ve previously inatalled game to. Even though it is my secondary internal drive. It seems to have only started after
the most recent update. I refuse fo have to reset my computer to fix some error from a windows update, because Microsoft can’t get their act together.

Try reinstalling the Gaming Services app on your Windows 10 device:

1. Right-click the Start button in the lower-left corner of the main screen, and then select
   Windows PowerShell (Admin).
2. In the Administrator: Windows PowerShell screen, type the following command and press
   Enter:
   get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-AppxPackage -allusers
   
3. In the same window, type the following command and press Enter:
   start ms-windows-store://pdp/?productid=9MWPM2CQNLHN
   
4. Install the app on that page, and select Yes when you receive the User Account Control (UAC) prompt.
5. Restart your device, and try to install the game again.
