Can not stay connected to XBOX Live when playing online

I recently changed my internet service provider from AT&T to Time Warner. In the process ofd doing so I was required to buy a new router/modem. I have tried everything they have said to try and I am still getting random disconnects from XBOX Live.

I bought a Motorola SBG6782-AC

I have set up my xbox with a static ip of 192.168.0.59

I have set up a static ip on my pc of 192.168.0.150

my default ip (gateway) on the router is 192.168.0.1

I have opened all the ports as directed but here is where my issues seems to be.

It asks for a internal ip address in the port forward set up and an external ip.

Which IP's go where and which ip's are they asking for. The PC, the router, or the xbox 360? I have tried using various combinations to to avail.

2 weeks and 2 days. Took the 1st one back because I thought it was broken. Still get a connection for a bit then disconnected. Then won't reconnect. Freezes counsole all together sometimes.

I used this information as my resource but have tried other resources as well. They are all saying the same basic things.

Fastest Motorola SBG6782-AC Router Port Forwarding Instructions

If you look on the screen shots of my router, it asks for internal ip address/start and end port and an external ip address/start/end port as well. I am putting in the correct ports as directed but I am not so sure what ip addresses go into which box.
I hope this is all my issue is anyway.

Like I stated, I have tried the DMZ thing using the static ip from the xbox. Worked for a bit then went back to same issue. I tried the port forwarding numerous times only to find out I missed something. Then when I think I go tit cause it works, it goes
back and disconnects again. I have also used the UPnP enabled option numerous times as well. Works then does nto work.

When I run the xbox test, it works half the time the other half says my nat settings are mod or high, depending on what I played around with. So frustrating because I never ever had this issue before I switched the router adn this is a top grade one according
to Best buy and TWC who recommended this model!

Please help!

:)

XBOX LIVE disconnecting

these forums tell you how to connect to xbox live, but I can connect to xbox live, but it just keeps disconnecting. Some times it will disconnect every 10 min and sometimes it will stay connected for 30 min. If I am playing reach online it will disconnect
and it will disconnect when im not playing games.

Can't stay connected to Xbox Live when playing online games.

Okay, first off I only have one Xbox on at a time. The first one is used to play video games, and the 2nd get's used to watch Netflix and such in a different room. I also got a new modem and router like I said when I upgraded my internet, so yes I'm getting
the 50mbps speed. I also have UPnP enabled.

So, what causes these issues with just One Xbox?

Greetings Whiskeymen!

Do you use wireless, or wired with your console? If wireless, state whether you use the white, or black external wireless network adapter or the built-in (Xbox 360S/E).

Do you connect multiple xboxes to the same router Internet connection?
I have set up a static ip on my pc of 192.168.0.150
Why do you use static IP for your PC?
It asks for a internal ip address in the port forward set up and an external ip.
Each entry for the
Local IP address (Port Forwarding) is the static IP address that you've assigned uniquely for your Xbox. Each entry for the
External IP address should all be set to 0's (zero's).

You should only have to forwarding network ports 3074 (UDP and TCP) and
88 (UDP) for both inbound and outbound connection(s).

Make sure each entry have Enabled set to On!

Have you tried to use UPnP (Universal Plug and Play) only, for the method to automatically forwarding network ports?

The implementation of UPnP require you to have your console's network settings set to
Automatic, for the Xbox to be assigned IP and DNS information from the DHCP server on your router.

Make sure you don't mix UPnP, Port Forwarding and DMZ, to be enabled at the same time. Configure and use only one feature at a time.

Could you make sure the Firewall Protection setting are set to
Low
and that IP Flood Detection is disabled/unticked.

Post back and let us know how that goes.

Thank you and I will try this today and let you know! It does look like I had a couple things wrong or backwards! I do have a built in wireless network adapter! Thought i needed an ip on the computer too but figured out i didn't need it. Had one set on
xbox and it appears I was just using the wrong ip numbers! Will try and post again!
