Can not sign into GFWL Marketplace Client

I tried downloading the client in recent days but when I enter my account information, the client freezes after about 10 seconds on the spinning circle and never completes the sign in process. I have to manually close the client. I have let it sit overnight
just to make sure it wasn't just getting stuck and then able to sign in later. I am entering the correct account information on both xbox.com and my xbox one and they both work fine there.

GFWL and Age of Empires 3: Can't redownload the game through GFWL client

Well I followed the instructions there, uninstalled GFWL and windows marketplace , rebooted and installed the latest GFWL client. Same thing occurs.

 

Unable to retrieve purchase history for Age of Empires 3 on GFWL client

"There was an error retrieving your purchase history. Please sign out and try again later"

All I want is my Fable 3 DLC, Sooo glad I didn't buy much on gfwl. If they do the right thing and fix this cool, but my trust in the platform is not so easily restored. Windows 10 marketplace.... at this rate no thank-you

edit: odd thing I notice is my glitched gfwl client shows an outdated gamerscore for my card, so not only can it not fetch my game purchases but it isn't an up to date profile score... if it can't do anything properly why can I even sign into it :/
