    Can not search in store on Xbox One


    Hello, so here's the problem.

    When I try to search the Xbox Store *where it says powered by bing* it tells me to check my network. This happens whether I try and search through text, voice, or even just sit on the page where I enter what I want to search for.

    additional notes:

    I am running the internet off of a Linksys by Cisco router.

    My modem is DSL 15 mbps download speed

    I can connect to Xbox live and do everything else that internet allows which includes playing online multiplayer, using youtube, I can use Xbox music and even do a search there. I can even look at featured games in the store and buy / download them!

    troubleshooting:

    I got in touch with Microsoft support and these are all the steps we've taken to try and fix this problem.

    1) I have unplugged the xbox from the power source and let the additional power drain to full restart the xbox

    2) I have full restarted the router by unplugging all devices to it and then the router for 5 minutes.

    3) I have deleted the profile on my Xbox and remade it.

    4) I have done a system restore on the xbox

    5) I tried to hardwire the Xbox through the router

    The conclusion after an hour and a half phone call and a couple more hours of text help was for me to send in the Xbox One to Microsoft to fix it. I instead brought it back to GameStop where I bought it and exchanged it for a new one. It is still the same
    problem. The only thing I have not tried is a hardwire strait from my modem to the xbox , but there is nowhere to type in the PPPOE settings for DSL modems in the Xbox One.

    PLEASE HELP!

    *EDIT* Also my NAT type is open and my MTU is 1480 and network / multiplayer check shows all good

    When I try to search the microsoft store on xbox, i get an error: 0x80131505

    I can not initiate a search for game add ons or anything else on my xbox one in the microsoft store

    Turn your Xbox on, log into your account (the One that has purchased the game) on PC and search for the game on Microsoft Store, click on Install on my Xbox, You can also search for the game on Xbox by using Xbox Store.

    Turn your Xbox on, log into your account (the One that has purchased the game) on PC and search for the game on Microsoft Store, click on Install on my Xbox, You can also search for the game on Xbox by using Xbox Store.

    We appreciate your coming to the Xbox community, and we're sorry you're having this issue. What's happening on your console is a little weird, could you tell if you're using a chat pad connected to the controller to type in names, or are you using the controller itself?

    Anyway, I suggest you try the solutions below, please.

    Solution 1:

    Step 1. Press and hold the Xbox button on the console for at least 10 seconds to open the Power center.

    Step 2. Then unplug the power supply from your console and wait for 3 minutes.

    Step 3. Plug the power supply back into the Xbox console.

    Step 4. Press the Xbox button on the console to turn it on again.

    Solution 2:

    Press the Xbox button.

    Open Settings.

    Go to Network and select Network settings.

    Select Advanced settings.

    Select Alternate MAC Address.

    Select Clear.

    Select Restart.

    Solution 3:

    Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

    Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.

    Select Reset console.

    On the Reset your console? screen, you'll see three options:

    - Select the option to keep your games and apps so that they are not deleted, make sure you know your email and password as they will be removed from the console and you will need to add them again.

    Alternatively, you can also search for the games on your Xbox One's Store and you should have an install option. :)

    Can you try searching for the content packs from your Xbox store? Please go to the store and search for the content packs to see if they can be installed from there.
