Can not register at xBox live as a new member

I bought my xBox 360 used.

I try to register with xBox live and I receive always the message, that this profile is linked to another account. The previous owner deleted all old profiles and I did not use one of my profiles to register. I used different profiles and I used different
email adresses. Either way, no go ...

What am I missing here?

Besides, whoever designed the help text for that part of the interface hopefully got fired already! What MS is giving the users here as help is as supportive as a kick in the face (at least the german interface, which I am using ...).

Hi,

Unfortunately i can not register as a Gold Member...

It says ''navigate to the market place'' but i can't find it,the redeem code either!

Is it expired?

What should i do?

Hi there, you may have already created a gamertag by logging into the Xbox website or other services. Try hitting the guide button which is the big one in the middle of the controller and select the 'Download Profile' option and enter your email address
and password. If a gamertag shows up, that is the one associated with that email.

You are already signed up for Xbox Live. Your gamertag is 'Xandrez192' therefore, you are a member of XBL and the issue is your are attempting to register twice and you can only have 1 Xbox live account binded to one Windows live ID.

Hi Realrastax. It looks like you're a member of the program and registered in France, but Xbox Live Rewards is available in Belgium. You'd have to opt out and then re-register if you want to change your Rewards locale.
