    Can not redeem pre paid cards


    I purchased a $30 pre paid card pack yesterday. When I try to redeem them the system tells me that they are not actiivated yet and try at a later date. I have been trying since 3pm yesterday and it is now 7am. I called support last night at 9pm, waited
    on hold for about an hour, to be told they working on the issue and be fixed shorty. Its been 10 hours since that call. That is not shortly.

    Hey BILLIE,

    Thanks for making your post, just to clarify is the issue occuring with a Pre-Paid Microsoft Currency/ Xbox Live Gold gift card? Or a pre-paid Visa debit card?

    If this is happening with a Pre-Paid Microsoft Currency/ Xbox Live Gold card please attempt to redeem it following this guide:

    Sorry to hear it. If you purchased the cards at a store have you tried returning to the store to have them activated there?

    If it was an online purchase through Xbox then you'll need to continue dealing with phone support for a solution.

    Yes, exactly. The promotion was on the main page of the dashboard, said to receive 600 points, renew membership by buying it directly or redeeming a pre paid card. I redeemed a pre paid card after clicking on the promotional link.

    Unfortunately on-going subscriptions need an additional payment method to be on file. This can be:

    Credit Card

    Debit Card

    PayPal

    Otherwise you'll need to purchase a pre-paid subscription to PC game pass and redeem the code. Pre-paid codes can be purchased in stores or online.
