    Can not read the disc error- when starting downloaded game


    Hi, I have X-box 360, a refurbished one. It came with 512mb memory unit. I have bought one external drive for x box 360 from Amazon, size 120 GB. I have purchased and downloaded EA Sports FIFA World Cup 2014. it's the size of 5.51GB. My problem is whenever
    I try to run the game, though from Hard drive, the initial EA icon appears and Xbox says can not read the disc. Please clean with soft clothes etc etc. Another thing I have observed that when downloading this game from on demand place it takes time to download
    upto 77%, after that Xbox says the game is downloaded. I tried redownloading...no luck.. cache cleaning..also no luck...I need to mention here one more thing that the xbox update can not take place if the hard drive is mounted. It comes up with an error code.
    I followed the error code on xbox support side and found the solution is to unmount the hard drive and try again. I follwed that and it worked. ..that is now occupying memory unit. I mentioned all these so that it will be easier for you to suggest. please
    tell me how can I play the downloaded game thanks amit

    I cant play rainbow six vages 2

    So i just download this game and for some reason i cant play it bc it said the disc need clean it pretty much has the same error when you got a disc inside but it no disc it downloaded. Why is it saying that error tht i got a disc insside what could i do for it can work.

    Resident Evil 5 on Xbox Live - Disc Read Error

    so i just recently purchased Resident Evil 5 on Xbox Live and when i went to go play it after waiting that long time for it to download... some of it reads as follow "DISC READ ERROR" like for instance The Mercenaries Reunion mode... can't veiw figures...
    i mean i felt i got cheated when i cant get the full game that i purchased and it reads Disc Read Error... what disc?... there is no disc but a downloaded game... im am not satisfied and felt kinda upset whenever the "Disc Reads Error" pops up... Please explain
    to me what disc when i purchased it for Xbox Live On Demand games? thanks ...

    Is the Hard drive an official one? Some of the 3rd party drives don't work as they should.

    The 80% download has been like that for a while so i wouldnt worry abou that. Is there actually a disc in the drive when you run the game? If there is try removing it.

    I find Microsoft logo when I go to system setting 》storage device, for my hard drive. This means the hard drive should be genuine. Is there any other way, I can find if the hard drive is official one?

    When I play the downloaded game, no disc are there inside..

    please help if you have further options for me

    There is no physical disc to clean. I used to own Arkham city, then when I was getting the disc read errors, I downloaded the game from XBL, with hopes that the error would stop. I still cannot start a new game. I read about clearing the cache, but I
