Can not play Star Wars The Last Jedi 4K UHD blu-ray (Xbox One X scorpio edition)

I'm unable to play the new Star Wars Last Jedi 4K UHD disk. I have replaced the disk once to ensure it was not at fault. My only other 4K UHD disk works perfectly (Fast & Furious 8).

I have hard-reset the Xbox One X. I have deleted and reinstalled the blu-ray app. I have tried inserting the disk many times. I can hear the disk trying to be read, but it always fails with an error message. The film nevers starts at all.

I have the Project Scorpio edition - which I purchased primarily for the 4K UHD support so this is really disappointing.

Any more suggestions? Do I need to get my xbox serviced?

4K Blu Ray not playing

Tried to play my new Star Wars The Last Jedi 4K blu ray last night. My xbox one s just kept getting stuck and saying disc was not recognized. Anyone got any help or advice.

What happens with a 4k blu ray disc if it has a Dolby Video encoding, how will it play?

I have an Xbox One S and a 4k TV (Vizio P). I regularly use the One S to play 4k UHD blu ray discs and it's great. However, I've noticed some discs are now coming with Dolby Vision encoded discs - which I understand the Xbox one does not support Dolby
Vision output. What will happen if you get a 4k Blu Ray disc with a dolby vision encoding if you try to play it in the Xbox one S? Will it output in HDR, or will it default to non-HDR output?

For example, Star Wars the Last Jedi is a disc encoded in Dolby Vision, rather than UHD.

PS I understand lots of folks want the Xbox to support Dolby Vision in the future - but this question is specifically focused on what would happen right now if you put a Dolby Vision encoded disc in. How will it play?

Also, what is the exact error code/message that you're seeing when you try to play The Last Jedi?

My Scorpio Edition reads Thor 3, Fast 8, but not Star Wars Last Jedi!

Pls. help!

What can I do?! It sucks…

 

Will there be a Software Update to fix this issue?! It's error Code 0x91d70000)

And somtimes there is no error Code at all. It just says: No readable disk.

(I checked two copies of the 4K UHD Blu Ray. The Standard Blu Ray works fine)

I have the same problem. I have also reported this to Xbox forum. But it seems like they have put the lid on it. And the thread where I reported it is closed down.

We all need to know what is going to happen Xbox and Microsoft

 

Same problem here - reported several months ago, and was asked to report it via the fault through the console. Left it a month before I chased a response, and then another month before chasing again, but had no replies. I had heard Microsoft had let a lot
of it's support staff go though.

My Xbox One S is primarily used as a Blu Ray player lately, but I'm hesitant to buy further UHD discs after this. Once my Live membership runs out in September, I'm thinking of selling my console and putting the money towards a standalone UHD player.
