Can not physically insert disc

I ejected a movie that I was watching and then went to insert another movie disc. However the disc will not physically enter the console without manual force and I do not want to force the disc into the console. To be clear, the console will not take the
disc when attempting to insert the disc. The console doe snot make any noise, it just acts like the disc runs into a barrier.

Any advice is appreciated.

Installed Game, Still need Disc?!

I hear that - I guess I assumed that rental versions are copy-protected. It's been a while since i had a game system. So, basically, any game installed from a disc... I will still need to physically insert the disc? So, to keep things running from the
local drive as much as possible.... essentially I should download any games that I can?

 

Xbox One's original idea was ahead of its time

Both have their pros and cons
Pros of physical - Trade-in, selling, visible collection, lend.
Cons of physical - Accidental damage to disc, stolen, lost, get up to insert disc/disc drive failure.

Pros of digital - Game will never be lost, stolen or broken, always be able to play, don't need to get up to insert disc, pre-load for new games, no regret if craving to play a game you sold awhile back as you can't sell.
Cons of digital - Can't trade-in, sell or have a visible collection, may be out of luck on some pre-order bonuses.

What I like about having digital games is that I can grab a 2tb external drive and put every single game I own and toss it into my bag and hit up a friends place and have every game I own instead of packing bags of cases risking my games to get damaged.
