Can not log in WP 8.1 or Windows 8.1 pc

On my Windows Phone 8.1 (Nokia Lumia 635) when i go to the "Store" and try to install any game that says "XBox" on it, i get an error "There is a problem completing your request. Try again later" Inquiring minds might find this error code helpful: 80154017"

When I launch the "Games" app on my phone, it loads just fine. But when i click on "Join XBox or sign in" I get "There's a problem with our account. Sign in at Xbox.com to fix it. (0x80154017)" When I click on "Already have an Xbox profile?" it just
tells me how to log in on an Xbox console. I don't have one of those.

When I go to Xbox.com, i can log in just fine with my windows username and password (the same one the phone is set up with and i use for my hotmail account).

On my Windows 8.1 PC, when I launch "Games", it tells me "Can't sign in, try again". When i click on Try Again, it tells me that there is no Xbox profile associated with my Microsoft account" and i need to try a different email and password combination
or create a new xbox profile with my account. of course, it tells me nothing of how to do either of these.

by the sounds of it you have settings on your account preventing you from downloading a xbox game, are you able to download non xbox games onto your phone?

 

Thank you for the reply. Yes, i can download non-xbox games to both my phone with no problem.

I can install XBox games on my computer as well, just not from the Games app.

 

yeah unfortunatly you will have to do a system restore on your phone to reactivate your phone xbox settings with the updated software for this to work, this has happened to many phones, for system restore please follow these instructions

Slide your finger down the display starting from the top edge of your phone.

•

Press ALL SETTINGS.

•

Press about.

Restore factory default settings

•

Press reset your phone.

•

Press yes to accept.

•

Press yes to confirm.

•

Wait a moment while the factory default settings are restored.

•

Follow the instructions on the display to set up your phone and prepare it for use.

Please make sureto back up all data/pictures/documents and contacts before doing this as it will wipe every thing off it and set it back to factory. your games will be able to be downloaded again as your account will save them as purchased already as long
as the same account it used,

I had the same problem, I just reset the phone and still I have the same problem... I can download no xbox game but xbox game cant and also I cant log in to game tile on lumia with the same error code
