Can not log in to Xbox Live

Hi All,

I need some help/advice please?

I have a Xbox One S, which is second hand, but I dont think it matters in this case.

Have a problem with playing Xbox 360 games on it.

Internet connection is good

Ive found this topic below and Ive folloved it. :

1. Password for account is longer than 16 characters. Change password to something less than 16 characters.

2. Two step verification is turned on. Turn off two step verification or use app password.

3. (Most likely) Gamer tag was changed recently and profile needs to be redownloaded on the 360 emulator side of things. Follow these steps:

A. Load any 360 game.

B. Hit the start and select buttons on the controller (small round buttons on either side of the big xbox button) at same time.

C. This will bring up the 360 guide with a choice to download profile. Enter in email and password and this will redownload the profile to the 360 emulator side of things and should fix your problem.

Thanx for your quick answer.

Yes, I did reset it.

The source of problem was not in the xbox itself. I was Internet, setting in the router, ports forwarding.

What Ive just simply did, was reboot the hub to custom settings ...and it worked.

Hope it will help somebody with the same problem

Thanks for reaching out to the forums! When you purchased the console did you reset it to clear out all previous accounts and games. Also is the console able to play standard Xbox One games?

I'm assuming since your saying you received an update yesterday that you are apart of the dashboard beta program, if so, please make a post

here and someone should be able to help you out as this seems to be a dashboard beta issue.

I have 2 xbox ones and can play and log into xbox live on the 360 side of things just fine, so it' not a router setting. However, if I try to log into my most used xbox gamertag and play gears 2 on the other xbox one, it tells me that it cannot log into
xbox live and to download the gamertag again...I have done this a number of times and still no log into live on the 360 emulated side...I can log into xbox live on my xbox one no problem though.
