    Can not launch some of the games on the xbox app for pc. (gamepass)


    So I was trying to download sea of thieves and state of decay 2. Sea of thieves would only pop up a black screen then a minute later would close. for state of decay 2, I can't even get the game to launch. when I click launch nothing happens, no screen and
    no error.

    I did try most of the solutions given by other post but it seemed to not work. I tried changing regions, restart the app, uninstall the game and delete the app then reinstall it. If I missed another solution from these please tell me cause I couldn't find
    any other solutions.

    No, They are not. I had GamePass PC earlier and everything used to work properly but then one day I got notification that there is an offer on GamePass Ultimate so I upgraded but since the day GamePass PC subscription ended and GamePass Ultimate subscription started, I can only launch games that are on EA Play and that too from EA Desktop App only.

    Now, because the GamePass Ultimate was a 3 month subscription, so I can't even go back to GamePass PC until it's over.

    Any game that launches from Xbox app for Windows fails to launch and tried repairing and resetting the Xbox and Microsoft Apps, sign-out and then again sign-in on both the apps but still same thing.

    For Example, Forza Horizon 4 used to work earlier but now it does not.

    I've noticed that on Xbox Gamepass PC the games aren't optimized or updated the same as a regular release of a game. Some games on Gamepass PC don't have achievents when the console version does. The Gamepass versions seem to be different some how. Maybe
    try resetting the Xbox beta app by right clicking it, then click more, then app settings.

    you get that error because gaming services is not installed or updated, gaming services can only install and launch on standard pc architecture and not arm based devices.

    the xbox app requires gaming services to be installed to be able to download most xbox app games (gamepass games).

    how can you play games from console on your PC?

    sign into the kids account on pc, open xbox app, sign out of xbox app and sign in with your account, download forza 5, once done sign out of xbox app and back in with your childs account, they can now launch and play the games, you have been able to share windows games and xbox app games and gamepass pc games with other accounts for a very long time.

    Assassin's Creed: Origins game is still not available.. Even though I have Xbox game pass and my ubisoft account is linked to Xbox too

    open the Ubisoft app and it should be listed under games, you can download from there if your gamepass is linked. that is where it will download from anyway and once downloaded you will see the link to launch in that app or the Xbox app, be reminded though EA games and Ubisoft games do not have achievements for Xbox on PC.
