Can not launch downloaded games from xbox pc app

Hello,

I am having some issues regarding the xbox pc app. I recently got the 3-month Game pass ultimate subscription and downloaded a couple of games from game pass. However, whenever I try to launch one of these games, whether its through a shortcut or any play button in the app, nothing happens for about 5-10 minutes. After that a windows error pop up appears saying it times out... I have tried multiple things such as reinstalling the xbox app, resetting the Microsoft store cache and updating my computer to the newest windows 10 version. Any idea how I can fix this?

open the Ubisoft app and it should be listed under games, you can download from there if your gamepass is linked. that is where it will download from anyway and once downloaded you will see the link to launch in that app or the Xbox app, be reminded though EA games and Ubisoft games do not have achievements for Xbox on PC.

I tried it and for some reason I could not open the WindowsApp folder. Unlike all my other folders, double clicking on it did nothing.

**EDIT: found a video that show me how to get into it, however still having issues.

this error appear after trying to run the exe in Administrator mode

any other ideas?

Have you tried going to the above file location, right clicking deadcells.exe and run as administrator?

Let's try another method.

Please, install the Xbox PC app and launch the cloud games from there:

https://www.xbox.com/apps/xbox-app-for-pc

Select the Cloud Gaming tab and launch a game.
