Can not install The Outer Worlds

I have game pass ultimate. I have the Xbox beta app installed. When I click install it just instantly says it finished but the install button is still there. Same thing with the Microsoft store app. Windows is up to date. Drivers are update to date. Care
to fix your app or at least explain how it works?

When you Make the game Download, you can play now or only show to you the Install Button?

If you go to "Add or Remove Programs", find the Microsoft Store, and then click on "Advanced Options"...

you can then "Reset" the app's data, deleting everything it manages. This will remove anything you've installed via the Store and let you start a fresh download of the game.

Ok, it's a problem with the outer worlds install. I just installed another little indie game from the same app and it's loading fine.

How the hell do I scrape every trace of the Outer Worlds install if you geniouses have hidden the install locations and files?!

Just wanted to say that I am having the exact same issue. Also with Outer Worlds. I have not found a solution yet. My experience was the following.

I had been playing Outer worlds for a few weeks without issue. About a week ago it suddenly refused to open. The other game I had installed, Age of Empires II, also would not open (previously it did open). I then uninstalled both games.

When trying to reinstall Outer Worlds the download refused to work. It simply does not start the download. No error message is displayed. The UI changes to the progress bar but then back to the install button immediately.

I then reinstalled the xbox game pass application. The Outer Worlds download still did not work.

I then tried to download Subnautica. This worked and is playable.

But I downloaded the gamepass for Outer Worlds so...

Sorry to hear it. Please try these following suggestions to see if any help.

Powercycle your console by holding the power button on it for 10 seconds till it shuts down. Unplug your modem/router for at least 60 seconds. When internet is back up turn on your console and check the download

If you're trying to install to an external hard drive then cancel the install and switch the download destination to the console. Vice versa if you're trying to install on the console and have an external.

If all else fails then do a factory reset on the console. There's an option to keep installed games and apps and your saves will be safe on the Cloud. Please be sure to cancel the download first.
