Can not get in the game. Grey screen and forced quit.

Just purchased this morning, downloaded and still couldn't log into the game.

PC, i7-6700HQ, nVidia Geforce 1060 6GB, 16GB RAM

Downloaded latest version of Geforce driver and windows update (Win10 professional).

Couldn't get into the game. Press play--->game window appeared--->turned grey--->forced quit.

Definitely need some help

can anyone plz tell me what to do besides buying a xbox?

4GB Xbox 360 won't load dashboard.

My Xbox 360 won't load the dashboard. It gets stuck on the grey screen with the white line spinning. I can load up the guide, but when I select system settings, nothing happens. It won't let me play any games either. I open the tray and put a game in, the
grey screen disappears but the game doesn't load. Any help would be appreciated.

no longer able to start game?

Hi,

bought minecraft, played it, then just turned off xbox one to quit game. Now it wont let me play,

the screen just shows Minecraft Xbox one edition and a grey box that has squares

going clockwise in a square path. Not sure how to get back in, or if it saved my progress.

Any ideas? thanks

Same here. The game worked fine for a couple of weeks, but now it just quits after turning the screen grey.

Windows is up to date and driver for my R9 390 too.

Already reinstalled the game, checked directx and systemfiles.

Is there anything else I can try?

Here is a work-around for the issue.

You can try force QUITTING the game. However, not many people know how to do this.

After you're done playing the game, go to the XBox home screen, then hit the Right Menu button on the controller, when the context menu pops up, select the "X Quit" option. That will stop the game from running. After that, you can watch TV.

Games are fine. It is HDR Video content from Netlfix, Amazon, and Bluray Player that is having the issue.

That's what I thought... and then I saw that blacks were a little bit more grey on the title screen of AC Origins.

Also, the colors looked quite the same in game with our without HDR ...

Starting a new game will bring up the grey loading/checkpoint screen. Freezes right there on that screen.

From my experience, the main reason why games crash is due to "resuming" them. Until MS figures it out, do not resume games. If a game is running after switching to other apps, TV, etc., "Quit" the game and reload it.

To quit (unload) a game:

1) The game must be in the Home screen of the dash.

2) With the Home screen highlighted, press the Menu button (the 3 lined button). (Or, say, "Xbox Show Menu")

3) Select or say "Quit".

This will unload the game and force a fresh load the next time you play it.

Can not get in the game. Grey screen and forced quit.
