Can not find gamelauncherhelper.exe on Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 PC (xbox app)

Hello,

Yesterday I installed Flight Simulator 2020 on my PC through the xbox app with the game pass. Played, everything was ok.

I installed the game under D:/Xbox games/Microsoft Flight Simualtor 2020

Today, when I start the game I'm greated with an error

"C:\WindowsApps\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_1.38.2.0_x64__8weky...\GameLaunchHelper.exe THE specified path does not exist."

Upon a closer inspect to the game's files, I can see that I have a GameLaunchHelper.exe under D:/Xbox games/Microsoft Flight Simualtor 2020

I couldn't get the C:\WindowsApps folder to open because it asks me for admin permissions, I grant them because my user is admin, and then I'm greeted with a popup saying "You have denied permission to access this folder"

I've tried repairing the installation to no effect

I don't want to reinstall the game as that takes quite some time for me.

I know this isn't a place for reviews, but the xbox app is terrible. I get less perfomance compared to steam games and everything seems to break from time to time... it took me 3 instalations to get the game to work in the first place...
