Can not download profile - tried everything

Discus and support Can not download profile - tried everything in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; i've recently reconnected my XBOX 360 to internet. Done all updates.     Can not download profile - tried everything


    i've recently reconnected my XBOX 360 to internet.

    Done all updates.

    Then my profile wasn't able to connect to X box live.

    So i've done what i found on support microsoft site : i deleted my account and tried to redownload it.

    but it can't be done.

    I've tried everything i can found, i always have an error 80151103.

    I don't know what to do.

    Please help !

    The error code you posted suggests an issue with your hard drive space.

    support.xbox.com/.../error-code-8007-0070

    If you have a hard drive in your console try removing it and just leaving the flash drive in for the update as the update may be trying to default to your main storage device.

    I tried burning to disc, xbox says mixed media disc and won't run it.

    looking up the error code
    , there are
    several different troubleshooting steps
    you can try beyond deleting and re-adding your account. Since you seem to be stuck with your profile not being able to download, you may wish to update your Microsoft account security information from a different
    device by logging in at
    account.microsoft.com
    and updating your password, then trying again to add the profile to your console.

    Thank you very much for your answer.

    Actually, i need to be more specific. Here's a random list of things i have tried :

    - use a laptop to update all my microsoft infos

    - changing password (twice)

    - adding security levels to my account

    - matching name of the account with name of the profile

    - deleting cache of my console

    - reset my network parameters on my console

    - reset the console itself

    - manually checking if system updates were made

    - checking if there was a network problem (according to console, everything is fine)

    - checking router for nat problems (none)

    ...

    And still... i am not able to download my profile. Always the same error code.

    I just have no idea what to do. I checked all pages on microsoft support i could find.

    Your help is sure very very welcome.

    Hi Neerval,

    I'm sorry to hear about this persisting issue with not being able to download your profile on your Xbox 360. Now, We do see that you've actually have done most of the troubleshooting available.

    We do suggest for you to perform a rollback of the updates on your console. This step will strip the console from the most recent update and then it will go through the update once more, after it should prompt for you to sign on.

    To reinstall the latest Xbox 360 update, follow these steps:

    1. Clear the system cache. To do this, see the "Clear the system cache" section above.
    2. Roll back and then reinstall system updates. To do this:
      1. Press the Guide button
        on your controller.
      2. Go to settings and select System.
      3. Select Storage.
      4. Enter the following button sequence: X, LB, RB, X, LB, RB, X.
      5. Select the option to roll back all system updates that are installed. The console will restart automatically and then download the updates again.
    Let us know if this helps.

    Sometimes the usb ports might get damaged and can't recognize the flash drive. You can try to use a dvd to apply the latest update. You can update your Xbox 360 console software by downloading the update to your computer from Xbox.com, burning the update
    to a CD or DVD, and then installing the update on your console. Here's how:

    On your computer, download the update file.

    Click Save to save the console update .zip file on your computer.

    Unzip the file. If you are using Windows XP, Windows Vista, or Windows 7, double-click the .zip file to unzip it.

    If you are using Windows XP, Windows Vista, or Windows 7, double-click the .zip file to unzip it.

    If you are using an earlier version of Windows, you need to use a special software program to unzip the file (for example, WinZip).

    Insert a blank, writeable CD or DVD into your computer.

    Copy the contents of the .zip file to the root directory on your CD or DVD, and choose to write (burn) the files to the disc.

    Once the files have been burned to disc, remove that disc from your computer and insert it into the disc drive on your Xbox 360 console.

    Restart the console.

    When the console restarts, the installation program starts automatically. Select Yes when you are prompted to update the new console software.

    If even this can't solve your issue I suggest you to ask for repairs here:
