can not connect to partys NEED HELP

Before I get comments about hard lining that is not the issue there is more to it im a welder not in IT but have a rudimentary understanding of networking in need of someone to bounce some theories off of............

Sorry guys I might need a little more help. I have a NetgearG54 Wireless Router and my Xbox Connection (Wired) is connected in the LAN 4 port. What do I need to do step by step cause.

Also I can play the multiplayer when I'm in a party. Just cant search for a game solo.

No its not that m8 its not showing up as any mic connected when in party then I tried a drop in match on clubs on FIFA where you can talk but dont need to be in party chat and still showing as if I didn't have mic connected
