    Can not connect to Internet


    I have tried to connect my X Box 360 to the internet using both the Wired Ethernet cable and and Wireless adapter. The Wireless adapter works on my brothers Xbox 360 in the other room but my X Box 360 just keeps telling me that I need to connect an
    Ethernet cable or a wireless adapter. Why is my Xbox not detecting the internet weather wired or wireless?

    Can, but can not connect to internet.

    That's a weird title, I know. My problem is weird. When I test my internet connection it says there is no connection. I have tried everything the support link told me to do other than the direct connection. Yet I have no problem signing in and talking to
    people just can't play online.

    I just did a search on xfinity wifi, and from what I found that internet system seems built more for mobile devices and laptop hotspot connections... Which are no good for a gaming console's connection requirements.

    As it turns out I have a BAD port, as long as I hold the ethernet cable in place it will connect. so My choices now are to go wifi or repair the port.

    Call your internet provider. it helped me.

    I can connect to my home network which is secured by a pass code. When I go to a friend's house or like I am now, on vacation, I cannot connect to the internet. It always me to connect to the network though. Is it something in my preferences for my account
    that is restricting me from being able to connect to the internet?
