  1. Can not connect to Forza 6 Multiplayer Lobbies

**PRIOR TO READING BELOW, NOTE THAT I FIRST PUT THIS ISSUE ON FORZA MOTORSPORT 6 THREAD. REFERENCE TO ANY GAME AS "THIS GAME" OR "MY GAME" IS IN REFERENCE TO FORZA MOTORSPORT 6. I HAVE NOT BEEN SUCCESSFUL GETTING HELP FROM THERE SO I POSTED THIS
HERE. HOPEFULLY THIS CLEARS UP ANY CONFUSION**

I have not been able to connect to MP lobbies since launch. I am getting numerous errors at any random times including:

    "Failed to acquire server dat"a.

    "Disconnected from server."

Those are errors I get when trying to enter an actual race lobby from the hub.

"Multiplayer is not available at this time."

I get that error when trying to enter the HUB from the main menu. After this I can sometimes get right in and will get 1 of the other 2 errors.

I have occasionally been able to actually get in a lobby with others, but after 5 seconds I get kicked & Disconnected from Server error. I have also tried getting into a private lobby with friends, I was able to get in the lobby, and my friend actually
able to select start race, but before even reaching the loading screen this closed the lobby for 1 player, and it also completely locked up Forza 6 for my friend and me.

I have 2 Xbox's in my house. On 1 Xbox, I am able to get onto multiplayer lobbies fine. I have port forwarding enabled to this Xbox. My NAT type is open & I am able to play all games, including Forza 6, on this Xbox. On the Xbox I am having trouble with,
I have it set to DMZ mode. My NAT type is open, and I have no problem playing any other games. So I am ONLY having problems playing multiplayer Forza 6, on this (my second) Xbox.

I have done numerous troubleshooting methods: I've hardwired the Xbox I'm having issues with, this did not change anything, still having the same issues. I have restored my Xbox One to factory defaults & tried again connecting, still the same problems
as before with Forza 6 being the only issue.

    I have AT&T U-Verse. Gateway 2WIRE 3800hgv-b. I am testing at about 20mbps DL, 2mbps UL w/ <80ms latency.

I know what everyone will say "Just use the Xbox that works..." Well, I have a Thrustmaster TX Racing wheel setup that I have pretty much specifically bought this entire system & TV for, so it's not that simple. I also can not turn DMZ mode off on this
XBox, as every other game doesn't work & it also causes me to have a strict NAT type. I'm at a loss. I really hoped hard wiring & factory resetting the Xbox I'm having issues with would work.

Again, playing Forza 6 online multiplayer is the ONLY issue I am having playing online games on this console.

    :)

  2. No sound in split screen, no multiplayer lobbies?

The game won't load as of now and when it does the split screen sound doesn't work and please add in some multiplayer lobbies like in forza 6. Once you beat the campaign there is NOTHING to do.

  4. Can not connect to Forza 6 Multiplayer Lobbies

    I have AT&T U-Verse. Gateway 2WIRE 3800hgv......

That's you issue , gateways wont do 2 Xboxes....you MAY fiddle with settings and FINALLY get it to work but it will be short lived if you do even get it ...Modem only , and a gaming router (MUST be good at UPNP ...Netgear is) will be the only "real" fix
I'm afraid.....search this forum if you want , gateways and multiple consoles have been major topics....

  5. Bimnog, thanks for your input. Do I actually have to replace the modem I have, or just get a good gaming router to put on top of my AT&T U-Verse gateway?

  6. If you can put the ATT one in "Bridge mode" (turns it into just a modem) then you SHOULD be able to....sometimes they wont let you or THEY may have to do it.....if you cant bridge it , then you will have double NAT on BOTH Xboxes...you could call your isp
and check on the "bridge mode" ...

  7. I have looked into it a little, and found that my exact 2Wire gateway has "Router-Behind-Router" recognition, which I believe is a fancy way of saying "Bridge Mode".

My current gateway has 4 ethernet ports on the back. There are (2) ports that are taken up by standard AT&T items. 1 port is directly to the main cable box, another port is a wireless access point for the wireless cable boxes in the house that feed off
of the main cable box. If I get a new router to put behind my current gateway, can those 2 items be left plugged directly into the gateway, or will everything have to go through the new router behind the current gateway?

I don't want to buy a new router to make my Xbox's work and then make my cable not work... Appreciate your help.

    @I4G0tMyGamertag hey hey

Just an question, did You tried just to use UPnP, without any other manual configuration of ports?

  9. Zanswerlive, the gateway AT&T provided me is not UPnP enabled. I had tried both Xbox's prior to messing with any port forwarding and neither would work, had strict NAT on both. Another oddity... my first Xbox always worked without any port forwarding settings
applied to it. It wasn't until the 2nd Xbox that I had problems with my first one.

I got a Netgear router and am about to go home and try it shortly. I will update after.

  10. Well, to update this situation, today I bought a Netgear WNDR 3400 which I found on the Xbox forums to be certified to work with 2 Xbox One consoles. Came home, undid all my port forwarding settings in the modem I had already set, turned the modem on bridge
mode, plugged in the router... Boom.... Worked instantly, problem solved.

For anyone having problems with this issue, or having Strict NAT types, I would suggest seeing this page, looking for your modem/router and seeing what the posts say related to MULTIPLE CONSOLES. Each device should have numerous threads regarding different
settings and conditions (Depending whether you're looking for a router or mode, click accordingly):
