Can not change language for Skyrim (some other games as well)

Usually the games language settings depend on your device settings, so if you set your device/ Xbox app language to English, it should be the same in game. For some games you might have to download them again depending on how the developer packed the different language files. However, if you are facing this language issue with all of your game, please check for any update on your device, clearing the cache and if the issue persists try uninstalling the Xbox app and install it again.

Actually region locking is done by the publishers as well, same with the language. Some publishers add the ability to change the language in the game, but other than that, they are the ones who determine what version of the games to give Microsoft for download.

well the thing is with skyrim it is language specific

take the issue up with whoever sold you the code

if it came iwth your console unfortunately it is whatever came with the console

if it is a reseller you have to talk to them about it sorry biut skyrim along with other AAA titles are one language only

very VERY few games are multiple languages changeable ingame

Well, on pretty much all games, there are options to change the language. Since English is a popular language in Europe and around the world, it will most likely be listed under the languages that you can change to. However, you may have to hunt around on
the main title screen or under settings to find the option to change it.

Even if the game is in German, there is a great chance that it can be offered in English as well. Sometimes on the back of games, the case lists which languages it is avaliable in.
