can not add friend on Xbox One

Can add friends. But try to add a specific person and says can not be found. They try to add me and it says can not be found. But we both can receive other friend requests.

You may need to make sure both of you are not blocking each other. Also check your privacy setting

I understand you're having trouble trying to add a new friend.

You're receiving a message "can not be found".

Just to be safe, I'd suggest visiting the site
How to add new Xbox friends just to make sure we have the basics covered.

Next, I would recommend you and your friend both removing your Xbox profiles from each of your consoles and then re-adding them back.

Then trying to add each other again.

I suggest you both try power cycling your console, to do this you will need to hold the power button on the face of your console for 10 to 15 seconds, once you have done this turn your console back on and you should get a green xbox screen
