    Can not access Messages on Windows 10 App since most recent Dash update.


    Ever since the last update pushed through for the new dashboard, I have lost access to my messages via the windows 10 app. I have updated my user information, I have reset my xbox one settings (because thats what microsoft chat support told me to do) and
    to no avail, it still will not work.

    after an hour and a half of microsoft troubleshooting with me, they did not have an answer, my baby woke up (because this all happened late into the night) so i had to leave the chat. does anyone have any suggestions why my messages work on my xbox one,
    my phone, the browser (via google chrome) but not through the windows 10 app?

    If you are on the most recent version of Jigsaw, and you are still experiencing issues, please write us a private message on Facebook.

    In order to make sure that you are on the most recent version of Jigsaw, please open the Charms Bar by using the Windows key+C while you are in the Windows Store and check if there are any pending app updates for you under Settings -> App updates.

    My Xbox app won't show my messages. Please help!!!

    I can send messages on my phone, but not my Windows 10 Xbox app. This has happened since the developers update. I am not behind any firewall that would prevent this. My reputation is excellent.

    4. Access the Xbox app and check if it now works correctly.

    Solution 5: Uninstall and reinstall the Xbox app

    1. Type Windows Powershell in the search box.
    2. Right click Windows Powershell and select Run as administrator.
    3. Copy and paste the following command: get-appxpackage Microsoft.XboxApp | remove-appxpackage
    4. Press Enter.

    Restart your Windows 10 device to refresh and sync all changes made. Then, download and install the Xbox app

  5. I'm having the same issue across many Windows 10 devices. Although clearing the App Data works for a few hours, as soon as I receive another message the problem comes back. This is happening on my Desktop, Laptop, Tablet and phone. I have also tried fresh
    installs on my phone and desktop of the OS and still the issue persists. Not only that but it's also happening in the Beta Xbox apps too.

    Hi,

    We'd like to know if you were able to perform all the solutions provided beforehand and check if the same instance occurs.

    Also, if you have any third-party antivirus programs installed on your device, disable it. Make sure to restart your device to sync all changes made and check if the Xbox app works correctly.
